Reporting to the Assistant Manager, Information Technology Services, the Venue Support Intern position is an opportunity for the candidate to apply their skills and knowledge in the field of IT support, gain understanding of the Group activities and projects.
Responsibilities include:
• Hardware support (workstation, printers, modems, firewalls)
• Software support (Windows O/S, browsers)
• Equipment configuration and deployment
• Box Office venue setup, support and trouble-shooting
Contract Dates: 1) July 28 – September 14, 2008
2) Aug 11 – September 14, 2008
Intern will be expected to work five days per week during regular business hours.
Minimum requirements:
• Excellent troubleshooting skills of computer related issues
• Experience in supporting standard set of software tools (MS Office, Internet browsers, Email applications)
• Experience in hardware configuration, setup and troubleshooting
• Experience in network equipment configuration and deployment
• Effective organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work to deadlines and manage time effectively
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks with high attention to details and consistent high level of performance
• Technical writing skills are considered an asset
